Cookies policy

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small data files received on the user’s device from the visited website and are used to record certain browsing interactions on a website by storing data that can later be updated and retrieved. These files are stored on the user’s computer and contain anonymous data that are not harmful to the device. They are used to remember user preferences, such as the selected language, login details, or page customisation.
Cookies may also be used to record anonymous information about how a visitor uses a website. For example, which website they accessed it from, or whether they used an advertising banner to reach it.

WHY DO WE USE COOKIES?

TAXLEX GESTIÓN uses strictly necessary and essential cookies so that you can use our websites and browse freely, access secure areas, personalised options, etc. In addition, TAXLEX GESTIÓN uses cookies that collect data related to website usage analysis. These are used to help improve customer service by measuring website usage and performance, in order to optimise and personalise it.

Our websites may also contain links to social media (such as Facebook or Twitter). TAXLEX GESTIÓN does not control the cookies used by these external websites. For more information about social media cookies or other third-party websites, we recommend reviewing their own cookie policies.
This website uses cookies in the following way:

• Google ANALYTICS Cookie: Google ANALYTICS is a free service provided by Google Inc. that collects information about the web pages visited, time of access, web browser used, etc. This information is then sent to Google Inc. servers in the United States.
• “Add-this” application cookies: Add-this is a free service that allows you to share pages from this website through different channels (email, social media, etc.). Add-this collects statistical information about your browsing in order to provide advertising tailored to your browsing habits on this website or elsewhere.

WHAT USE DO WE MAKE OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF COOKIES?

According to their purpose:
• Technical cookies: Technical cookies are essential and strictly necessary for the proper functioning of a website and for the use of the different options and services it offers. For example, those used for session maintenance, response time management, performance or option validation, use of security features, sharing content on social media, etc.

• Personalisation cookies: These cookies allow the user to specify or customise certain features of the general website options, for example, setting the language, regional configuration, or browser type.

• Analytical cookies: Analytical cookies are used by our website to create browsing profiles and understand user preferences in order to improve the products and services we offer. For example, through an analytical cookie, it would be possible to identify the geographical areas of greatest interest to a user or which products are most popular.

• Advertising cookies: Advertising cookies allow the management of advertising spaces based on specific criteria. For example, frequency of access, edited content, etc. Advertising cookies, through ad management, store behavioural information by observing browsing habits, analysing visits and creating a user preference profile to provide advertising related to their interests.

According to duration:
• Session cookies: Session cookies last for the duration of the user’s browsing session and are deleted when the session ends.
• Persistent cookies: These cookies remain stored on the user’s device for a longer period, making it easier to manage selected preferences without having to repeat certain settings each time the website is visited.

These cookies must comply with GDPR-EU-2016/679, LOPD-3/2018 on the Guarantee of Digital Rights, and the LSSI-CE regulations.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR EXPLICIT CONSENT TO USE THEM?

  • Judgment of the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union, 1 October 2019, and the AEPD Guide on the use of cookies, July 2020.

The judgment of the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union, dated 1 October 2019, must be interpreted to mean that consent is not validly given when the storage of information, or access to information already stored on the user’s device through cookies, is authorised by means of a pre-ticked box that the user must untick if they wish to refuse its use. In this regard, authorisation must be based on explicit consent through an explicit acceptance checkbox, a rejection checkbox by the user, and a more information checkbox regarding the cookies in use.

This interpretation does not vary depending on whether the information stored or accessed on the user’s device constitutes personal data or not.

The Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union also states in this judgment that the information the service provider must provide to the user of a website must include the duration for which the cookies will remain active and the possibility that third parties may access the information stored by them. This requirement is established by the amended version of Directive 2009/136, which modifies Article 5, paragraph 3, of Directive 2002/58/EC, and by the AEPD Guide of July 2020.

Regarding the possibility for the user to reject the use of cookies, it should be noted that if you reject or delete cookies while browsing the website, we may not be able to retain your preferences, some website features may not function properly, we may not be able to offer personalised services, and each time you browse our website we will need to ask for your consent again for the use of cookies.

If you still decide to modify your website access settings, please note that it is possible to delete cookies or prevent this information from being stored on your device at any time by changing your browser settings:

These browsers are subject to updates or changes, so we cannot guarantee that they fully match your browser version. You may also be using another browser not covered by these links, such as Konqueror, Arora, Flock, etc. To avoid these discrepancies, you can access the settings directly from your browser options, usually located in the “Privacy” section. (Please refer to your browser’s help section for more information.)
